Lexsis Jumps is an uncompromising female-fronted punk influenced metal band from Philadelphia,PA that fuses fluent funk and jazz overtures into one breakthrough movement. Lexsis Jumps is a rare band with dynamics capable of inciting explosive hardcore crowds one moment, then transforming their energy into an equally powerful jazz breakdown the next. Lexsis Jumps has toured with national and regional acts alike, sparking a movement that has drawn them recognition from around the world.
Formed in October of 2000, Lexsis Jumps has lived by the “DIY motherfu**er!” creed, with no regrets. With no label, booking agency, or outside funding, Lexsis Jumps has played 340+ shows bewteen 2003-2006. Their ambitious 2005 summer tour covered 45+ stops in 35+ cities all over the United States from coast to coast. Lexsis Jumps has recorded and released five independent works: “meaningless”; 7-song E.P., “I from Bondage Deliver I”; 4-song E.P., “Every Winter Morning”; 2-song “Stagnation” Demo; and the current E.P, “Hang The Messenger.” Songs from the band’s CDs receive airplay at many of the rock and college radio stations in the Great Lakes Region.
Garage Band.com (the largest source of free music on the web) awarded Lexsis Jumps with Listener’s Choice awards of “..1 Most Original, ..1 Best Female Vocals, and ..1 Best Drums in Hardcore Metal, all-time” among dozens of other awards for songs “Deer Friend” and “Hymn of The Insubordinate.”
